THIS NOVEL WAS RELEASED THE 4th FEBRUARY 2014
My opinion here is similar to the one I
gave for Scandalously Yours:
this second “chapter” in the series is good...but at the end I
didn't feel satisfaction; on the other hand, every time, I can't wait
to read the next novel.
Here
we have really good characters, especially the hero, Devlin Greville,
Marquess of Davenport but once again the heroine, Anna Sloane, is
less incisive; the one who positively and surprisingly keeps catching
my attention is Caro, Anna and Olivia's younger sister.
The
three Sloanes are writing prodigies and Anna is a best-seller author
who writes about harrowing adventures and heated passions; however
nobody knows about her secret life, the ton
thinks that the famous author of the Count Crispini's adventures is,
in fact, a man.
Davenport
is a notorious rake, who cares only about seduction...or that's what
everybody thinks. He collaborates with the Home Office and this is
the reason why he's a guest at the same remote Scottish castle where
Anna is.
Devlin
has to investigate on a serious mysterious...the developments though,
leave him no choice but to turn to Anna for help in stopping a
dangerous conspiracy; an already promised desire erupts between them
but Devlin finds out that he's not the only one who's hiding a
secret...
Devlin
is very sweet, in his own way; he cares a lot for Anna and his strong
attraction towards the beautiful author is enchanting.
Miss
Sloane is a good character as well, and all her secret life and her
talent are an amazing strong point of the romance but in the end
she's not as “shining” has the hero.
The
mystery is very well-organised and I'm grateful for this.
Buona lettura!
