I don't really have any specific complain in regards to this novel, I love Sabrina Jeffries' style, which I have said a billions of times.
Her writing is as always entertaining and catching and the characters are great, I liked Warren before and I confirm my opinion now. Delia is charming too, I like strong willed heroine so everything was in the right place here.

This was a lovely novel. Sharon Cullen is a great author.

Review: A Duke to Remember (Season for Scandal) - ARC

Author:  Kelly Bowen
Original Title: A Duke to Remember
Release Year: 2016 (July)

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency Era
Series: 2nd of Season for Scandal

Vote: 9

(I will try to be as objective as possible, the problem is that I read this novel straight after the third Kerrigan Byrne's romance which, like the others before, is so emotionally moving that everything coming right after tends to be a bit obscured by it.)

Nevertheless I truly loved A Duke to Remember, I genuinely enjoy Bowen's style and characters, she is certainly one of the best "new" HR authors.
Specifically she has a stylistic aspect that I've encountered more than once in her heroes, that distinguishes her and that I believe to be one of her strongest point, and this is the capacity to create heroes who are yes manly, protective and powerful but sometimes they are also less strong and resolved than the heroines, sometimes they need the heroines' guide, support and advise to take the right decision. So realistic. I adore it, I'm gloating!

Review: The Forbidden Duke (The Untouchables) - ARC

Author: Darcy Burke
Original Title: The Forbidden Duke
Release Year: March 2016

Literary Genre: Romance
Setting: England, Regency
Series: 1° of The Untouchables

Vote: 5

Slightly unrealistic, isn't it?
I do enjoy Burke's writing style, and those novels I've read so far have been well good too.
But I don't understand this one. I love the idea in theory but the practical transposition is a "meh" for me. The developments are too sudden, I generally prefer those stories that show the sacrosanct gift of synthesising information, but good Lord, here it's been applied way too literally.

Review: A Most Inconvenient Wish (A Lady's Wish) - ARC

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency
Series: 3° of A Lady's Wish

Vote: 8 1/2

This romance will be released the 19th of July 2016

The best of the series. I liked it very much! The author has talent, she knows what readers want in an historical romance, a lot of attraction, jealousy (triangles and similar, which for me are always a winning), a bit of chase, the perfect amount of fast and loose playing and passion.

Review: Highland Temptation (Highlands Knights) - ARC

Author: Jennifer Haymore
Original Title: Highland Temptation
Release Year: August 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency
Series: 3° of Highlands Knights

Vote: 9 1/2

THIS NOVEL WILL BE RELEASED THE 9th OF AUGUST 2016

Well done Jennifer! I greatly enjoyed this novel. I'm a huge fan of the Highlands Knights. I must say, the previous romance in the series lacked a bit of shine (comparing to what I know the author's talent is) but with this one we are back to the path I have loved so much in the first Highlands Knights' book. And this is the naturalness of love.

Review: Duke of Sin (Maiden Lane)

Author: Elizabeth Hoyt
Original Title: Duke of Sin
Release Year: May 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Georgian Era
Series: 10th of the Maiden Lane

Vote: 10+

Good Lord, this guy here is twisted. Oh but I love him so! He makes me feel warm actually, very. Well to be honest most of Hoyt's heroes give me high blood pressure. But Valentine is another level, Machiavelli would be proud of him, no romance hero has ever embraced The end justifies the means philosophy better than him. I mean, I know it twisted in turn to find the behaviour arousing, but that's me being honest.

Review: Once A Soldier (Rogues Redeemed) - ARC

Author: Mary Jo Putney
Original Title: Once A Soldier
Release Year: June 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: Portugal, Regency
Series: 1° of Rogues Redeemed

Vote: 7

THIS NOVEL WILL BE RELEASED THE 28th of JUNE 2016

Ok, I'm struggling with this novel. I cannot make up my mind about it. There is honestly nothing really out of place, the characters are truly well-rounded and interesting, the plot is perfectly developed and it is also somewhat different compared to most of the historical romances I know.
However, it didn't really catch me. I was reading and thinking "this is nice, why I'm not empathising with it?", the answer is "I don't know".

Review: To Steal A Heart (Secrets and Spies) - ARC

Author: K.C. Bateman
Original Title: To Steal A Heart
Release Year: February 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: France and England, Regency
Series: 1st of Secrets and Spies

Vote: 8 1/2

This was a lovely romance. A breath of fresh air, starting with the fact that the setting is different, or at least it was for me since 99% of all the HR I've read are settled in the United Kingdom. I like the decision to set it in France (also if not entirely) and with French protagonists, not because I have a passion for the country itself but more because it was reading something new and "unexpected".

Review: Highland Awakening (Highlands Knights / House of Trent) - ARC

Author: Jennifer Haymore
Original Title: Highland Awakening
Release Year: March 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency
Series: 2nd of Highlands Knights & 4th of House of Trent

Vote: 8 1/2

THIS NOVEL WILL BE RELEASED THE 29th OF MARCH 2016

I truly enjoy Jennifer Haymore's style. I think she's an extremelly talented author, her novels are fast-paced, thrilling, hot and emotional.

Said that, I relly liked Highland Awakening; I was waiting for Esme's story, I wanted her character to be more developed and to have an happy ending, since the first House of Trent novel. Same for Cam McLeod, he's a very charming hero.

Review: The Unforgettable Hero (Palyful Brides) - ARC

Author: Valerie Bowman
Original Title: The Unforgettable Hero
Release Year: 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency Era
Series: 4,5 of Playful Brides

Vote: 6

THIS NOVEL WILL BE RELEASED THE 2nd of FEBRUARY 2016

I'm not partial to novellas and I didn't know The Unforgettable Hero was one. However, since the plot seemed interesting I decided to try and put aside my preconceptions.
After finishing it I can say that this short story has partially confirmed my opinions in regards to the genre but at the same time it also undoubtedly possesses several interesting starting points, and I'm confident that, if developed in a novel, the result would have been highly improved.

Review: A Brazen Bargain (Spies and Lovers)

Author: Laura Trentham
Original Title: A Brazen Bargain
Release Year: 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency Era
Series: 2nd of Spies and Lovers

Vote: 10

Soooo good! This is one of the rare examples of a story where everything falls in the right place. I'm in love. I'd like more books like this one.

The plot is what I'm always looking for in romances, passion, struggle, a-satisfying-but-not-excessive dose of misunderstanding, a strong-willed heroine and a tormented hero. And many other things.

Review: The Art of Taming a Rake (Legendary Lovers) - ARC

Author: Nicole Jordan
Original Title: The Art of Taming a Rake
Release Year: 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency Era
Series: 4th of Legendary Lovers

Vote: 6 1/2

THIS NOVEL WILL BE RELEASED THE 26th of JANUARY 2016

Unfortunately this is a typical case of too many irons in the fire. However, I regrettably say so, in fact this novel has great premises, those I like; the protagonists have a not-particularly-cheerful joint background, the heroine can't stand the hero, she holds him partially responsible for a past scandal involving her and which has brought her to take distance from her family, beloved sister included.
The hero on the other side has always hidden a soft spot towards the heroine but, although it could be hardly held guilty for the above mentioned scandal, he very humbly accepts her distaste.

Review: Sutherland's Secret (Highland Pride) - ARC

Author:  Sharon Cullen
Original Title: Sutherland's Secret
Release Year: 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: Scotland, Georgian Era
Series: 1st of Highland Pride

THIS NOVEL WILL BE RELEASED THE 19th of JANUARY 2016

This is a marvellous romance everybody should read! Sharon Cullen did a great job here, the novel is right in every aspect. It's fast paced, there are no "dead", boring or superfluous parts, the backgrounds facts are interesting and well melted with the love story...and the love story itself, OMG, it's sooo adorably sweet, heart melting, it raised in me many feelings, it gave me shivers.

Review: Seduced in September (A Year Without A Duke) - ARC

Author: Genevieve Turner
Original Title: Seduced in September
Release Year: February 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency
Series: 3rd of A Year Without A Duke

Vote: 7

This romance will be released the 1st of February 2016

This romance was quite refreshing for some aspects, but a bit too "unbalanced" for others, the latter can all be led back to the fact that this is a novella, and not a novel.

The plot is very interesting, unexpected, new types of protagonists, both normal people with normal employments, a governess and a stable master, no nobs and there are horses (I do love them).

Review: An Affair in Autumn (A Year Without A Duke / House of Trent) - ARC

Author: Jennifer Haymore
Original Title: An Affair in Autumn
Release Year: February 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Atlantic Ocean, New York, Regency
Series: 4th of A Year Without A Duke (4th of House of Trent)

Vote: 9

This romance will be released the 1st of February 2016

Jennifer Haymore writes very steamy romances. And I love them! I'm looking so forward to her every new piece of work and I was honestly surprised when I saw this one. I was even more "Oh my God!" when I read who was the hero! Lord Marcus Hawkins, from the Trent family, which I adore!

Review: Jilting the Duke (The Muses' Salon) - ARC

Author:  Rachael Miles
Original Title: Jilting the Duke
Release Year: January 2016

Literary Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, Regency
Series: 1st of The Muses' Salon

Vote: 8

This romance will be released the 26th of January 2016

The story was really good, I am always looking for romances with the Jilting the Duke's characteristics; the protagonists had been young lovers who have been harshly separated by circumstances and misunderstandings and now find themselves in the position to be together again, after years of yearning, grudge and a sharp mutual dislike that hides a deep passion and feelings. And kids.
